Our Little Santas

The boys are definitely in the Christmas spirit. Brendan wakes up almost every morning and asks me if it's Christmas day yet! And Aidan, well, you'll just have to watch the video below to see Aidan's new trick!

Aidan has now decided to say "Ho, Ho, Ho!" whenever ANYONE even says the word "Santa". So, when I got Brendan out of bed this morning, the conversation went like this:
Brendan: Is is Christmas day yet?
Mommy: No, sweetie, it's still just Christmas TIME (we've been working on the difference between the two).
Brendan: Did Santa Claus bring me presents?
Aidan: "Ho, Ho, Ho!"
. . . My crazy little Santas!

The Second Time's the Charm: Christmas Plaid Freebie(s)

Ok, so my links below didn't work. Can you tell I'm new at this?!! I think I've got it this time. Here is the preview of Christmas Plaid Part Two:

The papers have chalked edges, and they include the folded over paper with the star button. There are more elements than on the preview (they just wouldn't all fit!), AND there is an ALPHA included in the elements download.
And HERE are the download links:

And, in case you missed part one of Christmas Plaid:

I hope THAT works!! Thanks for putting up with my lack of computer skills!

Christmas Time

So, this post was originally my first try at uploading those links above. But, since I've got that all covered now, I thought I'd let everyone know how we are doing. Brendan is officially enthralled with Christmas. We have been praying (yes, I said praying) for Santa Claus EVERY SINGLE NIGHT SINCE LAST CHRISTMAS!!!! We are now going on 340+ days of praying for Santa Claus. Well, I sure hope he's good to the kid this year. Adian is officially enthralled with the Christmas TREE. His new hobby is hitting it with any sort of destructive implement which may be at his disposal (a toy ax (yes, we have a toy ax, don't ask), a toy hammer, etc.). He also likes to take off ornaments and RUN so that mommy has to chase him around the house to retrieve them. Yes, both the boys are enjoying Christmas time to its fullest extent. Now, it's time for mommy to enjoy hers. . . off to make a cup of hot chocolate and munch on the cookies a neighbor brought by this afternoon (I have the BEST neighbors :)).

Happy (early) Father's Day!

Since Andrew is working this weekend, we thought we'd celebrate Father's Day a bit early this year. So, WE LOVE YOU, DA-DA!!! Andrew, you are a wonderful husband and father, and I thank God each day that I get to share my life with you. We hope you like the "Da-da Interview"-- a true insight into the mind of our boys :). Happy Father's Day!

Mother's Day

So, I got photoshop elements for Mother's day (thanks, Andrew :)), and I am loving it!! I've done a few scrapbook layouts on it, and it's really not that hard to use, plus it can do a ton more stuff than my last program could. So, here are a few layouts that I've been working on. There are two for Aidan's baby book, and one for our "family" yearbook for this year.

I had a wonderful Mother's day-- Andrew let me have the entire day off on Saturday (he was working on Sunday, so we celebrated early)-- it was the perfect chance to play with my new computer program! At the end of the day, Andrew tried to take a pic. of me and the two boys together ( a nearly impossible feat ;)), and all we got were pictures of the boys trying to crawl away or laughing, etc. I will try to post those pics later-- they are really funny -- A TRUE depiction of Mother's day!

How about a little video?!

So, here's a little video of the boys from just a few weeks ago. Aidan now has a new trick of standing by himself if you ask him to, but on this video he is cheating and only kneeling instead of standing-- it's too cute. Also on this video, you'll get to see what Brendan thinks tractors REALLY do-- if you've seen the "Cars" movie enough, you will get a kick out of this one-- yes, my child really believes that tractors making "mooing" noises and stand on their back wheels! Hope you enjoy them.

Thanks for the comments and emails, guys!! This is fun! Perry-- I checked out your new blog, too, and I left you a comment. If anyone else wants to start one, it's completely free-- just go to www.blogger.com and sign up! I thought I'd post a few more scrapbook pages of the boys. I've been working on Aidan's baby book and on our family albumn for 2007. Oh, I found antoher cool thing on the internet yesterday-- did you know that you cna pay $9 and have a site create a font for you out of your own handwriting?! I thought it was pretty cool-- Andrew thinks it's a waste of money (always the pragmatist :)), but I think it would be really neat to have a font in your own handwriting, especially for scrapbooking on the computer. Still contemplating whether or not I'll do it, but here is the link to the site if anyone else is interested: www.fontifier.com. Not much else going on here, so I'll sign off for now.

Aidan's B-day Invites-- My first attempt at uploading pictures!

So, today's been a big day. I started this blog, learned about image hosting, and now I think I'm ready to actaully try to insert a picture or two here and see if it works! We've been planning Aidan's first birthday party, and I decided to digitally scrap the invitations. I printed them out at Walmart today as two 4X6 photos, and then I taped them to folded cardstock. The result is a completely cute birthday invite to Aidan's pool party.
Ok, so it seems like my first attempt at uploading pictures worked, sorta! I was TRYING to make the picture come underneath the text, and I would have liked the bottom pic to be on top, but it's a good first try ;). I hope you guys like them. I changed the important info. on the invite just incase some wierdo ran across this blog.
Anyhow, we are really excited about Aidan's party, and I think I've even figured out food to serve that THE WHOLE FAMILY can eat. THAT is a HUGE deal considering all of the boys food allergies. I'm still perfecting my cake recipe. I'm trying to make a white cake b/c Aidan's never had chocolate before (and with my allergic kiddos, the first b-day is not the time to introduce new foods). I've got a great chocolate cake recipe that is wheat, dairy and egg free, but I'm trying to turn it into a white cake. My first attempt today was a bit spongy. I'll try again soon. Hope you like the new blog. I'm hoping that it will keep us all a bit better connected!

My First Post!!

So, I've decided that our family needs a blog. Hopefully this site will be a place you can come to find out how we're doing, see what's new with the boys, and of course, see pictures of the two cutest kids in the world, Brendan and Aidan. I will be back soon to post a family update, and if I get this thing figured out, hopefully a scrapbook page or picture of the boys :). Until then, have a great day!
